The non lead projectile market for hunting ammunition is mainly being driven from areas of the world where hunting either takes place from elevated positions or has the potential for good backstops of solid earth and rising ground.
Much of Britain has deer populations that are residing in areas with less than perfect backstops and flatter ground and often highly populated.
There were no projectiles of non lead manufacture that gave the advantage of frangibility and similar expansion to existing lead projectiles.
The results of over three years work with extensive ballistic and field testing, have enabled us to create a projectile with the terminal ballistics similar to, if not better than conventional lead hunting bullets.
There has been extensive testing in the laboratory, on the range and in real hunting scenarios. Our aim is to produce a consistent round with reliable expansion suitable for all UK deer species. With the help of the Forestry Commission we have now tested the various calibres on over 3000 deer and we are confident that this will tick all the boxes that UK stalkers are looking for.
This is a product that truly has been “designed by engineers and refined by hunters” in every respect.
LPHP - Limited Penetration Hollow Point
A lead-free projectile that offers excellent accuracy and reliable expansion, without the need for excessively high velocities.
The unique 2-piece design with minimal solid core ensure reliable expansion even at extended ranges, the hydraulic action forces the tip into the base of the projectile, resulting in excellent expansion and frangibility and a reduced risk of large bullet fragments exiting, thereby reducing the risk of a ricochet.
